In NYS, must first go threw a series of steps to get your free rehabbers license.  Your
best bet is to contact a local rehabber.  Most are willing to help out by telling you who to
contact.  Volunteer to help them.  Rehabbers are in short supply, we all support each
other.
Write to the below people, Send them $15 to receive your study manuals.
Register for the first exam usually in April, sometimes October.
Get a series of pre-rabies exposure shots (not cheap). Build an expensive enclosure to
DEC specifications, meet with them for an inspection and lecture and then one day, you
are a rehabber.
Sounds easy, find a local rehabber, ask to tag along, start the process and wait.  It is a
never ending job.

NYS DEC LAW
